"Viazmo" explores the aesthetic and mystical components of Belarusian letters, seeking to find the point at which alphabetic symbols begin to transform into abstract patterns while still retaining their primary structure and meaning. The project is dedicated to the complex connection between grandmothers and granddaughters.
“V I A S M O” is about love and memory, but also about co-dependence, confusion, contradictory experiences, and, above all, the healing power of timely vandalism.
Each letter is crafted from old hand-crocheted napkins collected from
dusty corners of a Prague antique shop.
